Greetings ALL!
The Unity Group of North Brunswick is in the process of planning the 17th annual NC Christmas Festival. (December 12, 2009) This year we are planning one of the biggest yet. Last year there were over 60 vendors including crafters, local businesses and food vendors. It was estimated that there were over 10 thousand that viewed the parade and over 3 thousand that attended the festival. The parade had over 100 entries.
History: Since 1992 the Unity Group of North Brunswick which is a non-profit, non political community service organization has provided this festival and parade to the community. The main objective is to provide free entertainment and a parade for all the children and their families of the area. It has been the philosophy of the UGNB that this event is to be provided to all as a community based effort. The Festival has grown steadily ever since that first festival and parade.
General Information
The festival will be located at the Leland Park behind the Leland Town Hall in Leland NC. (Link to MapQuest) The parade will start from the 1st Baptist Church in Leland and finish at the Food Lion entrance (Leland Shopping Center) behind the BB&T bank on Village Road. The festival starts at 9am and the parade will begin at 10am and usually last until 12 noon. VILLAGE ROAD WILL CLOSE PROMPTLY AT 9am on Dec 12th! There is NO admission charge to the festival and all the entertainment and children’s activities are FREE! Santa Clause is coming and you can have your picture taken FREE with Santa.
